Terms of Service

Simple terms for an honest app.

Last updated: August 2026. By downloading, installing, or using Parlo you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Parlo is a macOS voice application that provides dictation, meeting recording and notes, and voice commands. The app runs primarily on your device; optional cloud features (cloud meeting notes, Google Drive sharing, web lookups) are described in the Privacy Policy and are always opt-in.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Parlo on your own Mac for your own purposes, subject to these terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer the app, except as permitted by law.

3. Accounts & payments

Some features require an account and an active entitlement. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. If you purchase a subscription, payment is processed by our payment provider; prices and billing terms are shown at checkout. You can cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Parlo to:

  • violate any law or regulation;
  • record, transcribe, or process audio you have no right to capture;
  • interfere with, disrupt, or damage the app or its providers;
  • attempt to circumvent licensing or security mechanisms.

5. Availability & changes

Parlo is in active development. Features, pricing, and this agreement may change. We will post material changes on this page and, where feasible, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

6. Disclaimers & liability

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Meeting notes are machine-generated summaries — verify important decisions against the recording or transcript.
